A favourite climb used many time in the Tour de France. In 2022 riders had to climb this HC beast both ways. This is the first crossing for the riders, they still had another HC climb to tackle - The Col du Granon where stage 11 finished, Stage 12 would then take them back up the Galibier finishing on the Alpe D'Huez.
