A cracking set of races over 11.1 kms of what Sherwood does best, singletrack. Weaving in and out of trees, spitting the rider onto short bursts of fire road before once more engulfing them into the bosom of the trails. A dry fast day, that set the course alight, until the heavens opened in the afternoon, turning the buff trails into slurry rivers, transforming the brightly coloured lycra clad riders into a mass of dirge brown. The racing as ever was fantastic, with a strong international flavour that our boys and girls certainly held their own against. It’s great to see the standard of racing pushed even higher, with everyone straining to be the best. Rock on!!
