The first Tour DoonHame which replaces the infamous Girvan. 3 day's of intense racing with everything to play for. In the end it came down to the wire with Chris Newton - Rapha-Condor-Sharp relinquishing the final stage to rival Jack Bauer - Endura, but claiming the overall race win.

Day 1

Day one in the new 3 day stage race set in the picturesque setting of Dumfries and Galloway. Plenty of action with riders eager to grab points and those all important seconds. Chris Newton snatched the stage win, with Evan Oliphant 2nd. Kristian House heads into day two in green while Ian Bibby looks to the mountains to retain is polka dot jersey.

Day 2

Today we headed to the hills, settled amidst stunning scenery. Undoubtedly the riders were untroubled by the views as the action came thick and fast on this tortuous 96 mile stage and all eyes were on the task ahead as well as keeping an eye out for potholes! Again it was anyone's guess who would take this one and once again Chris Newton stepped up to the plate and took his second win of the race. Stage 3 is still wide open, it'll be a race to the end.

Day 3

It was an unwelcome wet start to the last stage. 81 miles left to decide a race that could have gone 1 of 40 ways, to say it was wide open would be an understatement! It was a day of fierce activity, with break aways, giving Rapha the task of hunting down and hoovering up. As the weather turned for the better Endura rider Jack Bauer went for gold with 15miles to go. Opening up a lead of well over a minute at one point it looked like it might be game over for Rapha boy Newton. However in the closing stages Rapha pulled out all the stops and all but reeled the Endura boy back. Bauer took the win but Newton took overall in a thrilling end of stage 3 race.
