Southern XC R3 - Crow Hill
I was half expecting a plague of locusts to appear at the latest round of the Southern XC. Why? Well for their last 2 rounds they have been dogged by sheer bad luck involving some atrocious weather, despite all their hard work. However it was definitely a case of 3rd time lucky, with the 400 or so competitors who made the journey to what will be the National Championship course later in the year, being treated to some cracking racing around a formidable course as well as some well deserved sunshine...
Sue Clarke – Elite women’s winner
“It was deceptively hard out there. I rode a couple of laps yesterday and I was disappointed that there weren’t any really big climbs but when I was actually racing on it I realised it was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. The organisers have done an absolutely superb job with the area and I think the National will turn out to be a very exciting race, both for the competitors and the spectators”.

Okay the pics are all live, there are a few that fell down the gap between the chest of drawers and the wall so if you can’t see yourself, we may have you...Drop us a line. Don’t forget that most of the pics in the galleries are numbered ( well the ones whose number boards we can read) so you can do a search for your race number to make it easier, though because I take so many, you’ll have to add a,b,c etc to find all the additional pics. You may even be able to recognise yourself in the unnumbered pics but you’ll have to plough through those yourself.
