After 16 long years in the saddle, local mountain bike race organisers, the Gorrick team show no signs of slowing down, with their 2009 Spring Series, complete with new sponsor Saddle Skedaddle.

So what can you expect if you decide to give a Gorrick a go?

Well a very warm welcome to start with, regardless of age and ability, with races for under 12’s and now the over 60’s too and of course everything in-between.  It is truly a family affair with many families taking part in their own categories and comparing notes later over steaming hot cuppas and bacon butties.

When you’re out on course in the thick of the action expect a thrilling experience, as you whizz through many natural features, designed to test you to your limits but with a huge element of fun. The Gorrick team are all passionate mountain bikers themselves and one of the many reasons the series has been so successful over the years is their attention to detail and the fact they provide courses that they’d want to race!

Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday? Then pop over to the Gorrick website  - www.gorrick.com where you can find out all the information you need to know and probably a lot more.

Gorrick’s main honcho Jon Lucas is looking forward to welcoming you all to the new series:

“ We’re delighted to have Saddle Skedaddle on board, with their support it is sure to be the best series ever, with superb established venues, loyal support from our local mountain bike retailers and a fantastically supportive rider base who understand the thrill of the chase and be chased principal that pushes you to new levels in a way that only XC racing can do. We can’t wait to see you all get stuck into some of our favourite trails; we just hope you enjoy them as much as we do! Don’t forget we’ve made it easy to enter all the races with online entries that are open now, including a facility to enter all 5 rounds at the click of a couple of buttons. ”

I’m delighted to have been invited along by Jon and the team as the Gorrick’s Official photographer, enjoy the races and see you out on the trail!
