Which made the whole marathon business that much more fun. Wilkes took the 100km small consolation for the disappointment from the previous days race, with Liz Scalia getting to grips on a borrowed 69er which propelled her to a victory in the women’s 100km.

Great course to match a great weekend. Shame about the weather in other parts in the country which perhaps put a few competitors off, but hey that meant more trail for us...
