Over 500 hundred riders had signed up to take on the challenge either solo or in pairs and at the stroke of 10 the race was on, with the first leg a quick jog round the park, sorting the men from the boys!

The air was awash with olfactory delights of wild garlic and of course that truly iconic British spring flower, the bluebell and now over the fast 5-mile course, they danced under the surge of numerous frantic pedal strokes. Riders were blessed with stunning spring weather along with trails designed to tantalise and delight while providing a sustainable and enjoyable event, regardless of ability...
